Willem Kmetsch is the main protagonist of SukaSuka (also known as WorldEnd in English), a light novel and anime series famous for its death flags and tear-jerking scenes.

Willem is best known in this wiki for his appearances in the International Saimoe League, where his anime gained a dedicated (mostly East Asian) faction for him and his love interest Chtholly. Since factions play a huge role on who wins in ISML, he naturally benefited from having his own following, resulting in strong impressions from his first years. He won the diamond pendant in ISML 2018, and has appeared in the playoffs two times -- 2018 and 2019, both losing in the round of 16.
In ISML 2020 he was one of the most affected contestants in the Sapphire recount incident, going from being originally eliminated in the wildcard round to 5th place, securing a qualification spot for the third split. Although he ultimately failed to reach the playoffs that year, his "resurrection" will be remembered as sort of a compensation for Chtholly's shock exit earlier in the tournament.
However, WorldEnd's presence in ISML declined in the 2021 edition, which saw the main couple fail to qualify for the regular season after poor placements in the preliminary rounds.
