Vivy is the titular protagonist of Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song, a 2021 anime series co-created by Tappei Nagatsuki (of Re:Zero fame) and Eiji Umehara (Chaos:Child), and produced by WIT Studio (Attack on Titan S1-S3). In the story, Vivy is an android and the world's first autonomous AI who was created to make people happy by performing as a songstress named Diva. When she meets Matsumoto, an AI who came from the future, Vivy agrees to assist in preventing a destructive AI vs. human war that is predicted to happen 100 years from now.
The show became a hit among users of r/anime subreddit because of its vivid visuals, cute girls, and an engaging plot. In the subreddit's Spring 2021 contest, three Vivy girls reached the elite eight, with the eponymous blue-haired idol android eventually winning the event as the top seed. She will be eligible for Best Girl 9 in 2022.
