Riku Dola

Riku Dola is the protagonist of the 2017 Madhouse movie adaptation No Game No Life: Zero, an adaptation of the sixth volume of No Game No Life light novel series. The book is about the god Tet telling the main characters a story of how Riku, a member of the disadvantaged Immanity (humans) race, ended a long-running war in their world 6000 years ago. To induce familiarity on the audience, Riku is designed to resemble Sora and shares the same voice actor as him, just like how his partner Shuvi is also voiced by the actress who performed Shiro.

Ever since Sora won the International Saimoe League in 2016, Riku has followed his footsteps as the series' sole male representative. The No Game No Life faction is working hard to become the first series to field two ISML champions of the same gender, and Immanity's ancestor is their best shot at achieving this feat.

Debuting in ISML 2018, Riku quickly established himself as a powerhouse competitor and potential Scpeter contender, reaching the semi-finals in his first year and following it up with two consecutive quarter-finals results in 2019 and 2020. He is also a regular pendant winner since 2019 and has won 3 such awards to date, all of which occured in the first three periods (aquamarine, topaz, amethyst).
