Karyl

Kyaru (also known as Karyl in the official English translation) is a character from Cygames' mobile gacha RPG and anime series Princess Connect! Re:Dive. Her real name outside the game world is Kiruya Momochi.

A dark magic-wielding tsundere cat girl mage, Karyl is considered the most popular cast member of the series, if her results in several character contests are to be believed. Debuting in the 2020 Spring anime season, Karyl was a prominent seasonal contestant in r/anime and ISML, finishing 3rd on the latter behind only the Kaguya-sama sequel girls. In the Korean Aketo 2020 contest, Karyl finished in third place after defeating Rem in the consolation match.

The next year, Karyl failed to qualify for ISML 2021 regular season when she was ranked 73rd in the preliminary rounds --- just one shy of the 72-player capacity.
