Jibril is a character from the light novel and anime series No Game No Life. Debuting in Spring 2014, Jibril was the first seed of r/anime's first best girl contest. She reached the Elite Eight in its sixth edition.

Jibril

To Jibril, curiosity is an obsession.

Jibril and her kin, the flugel, were some of the most powerful creatures ever created in her world. But then, after a prolonged conflict that drained the resources of every race, the war was brought to an abrupt end, and violence was forbidden by God. He commanded that all disputes be settled through a game instead. With their immense amount of magic power and military potential made obsolete, Jibril and her kin found themselves a new objective: to gather all the knowledge of the world.

With a new goal in mind, Jibril decided to travel around the world to win and learn every single bit of knowledge. Soon enough, Jibril found out that gathering knowledge and learning new things could be as much fun as possessing great magic power. She became drunk on knowledge. Her new hobby, combined with her insane personality and uncontrollable lust, drove her into an even deeper madness. The simple sight of new knowledge would turn the graceful flugel, whose figure would bewitch every single male, into a woman in heat.

But, like any other flugel, Jibril has big flaws. She is prideful, arrogant, and cocky. Jibril looks down on all the other races weaker than her. In the past, her advantage was in her superior magic power. Now, it is the knowledge she has massed throughout her ridiculously long lifespan, unmatched even by generations of lower races.

Her pride turns out to be her downfall; she fails to respect the unknown. Jibril pays the price for her arrogance when a pair of representatives of humankind, the weakest of races, comes to challenge her for all she has. But even if she stumbles once, she also learns a new lesson: to not let curiosity and pride get the best of her.

And so, Jibril's journey begins anew, and there is no fear of her getting bored this time around. After all, her new companions are all geniuses. Humanity's tactics are as crazy and unorthodox as it gets, and so Jibril gets to see something completely new every day. And as long as she gets her fun, this former god-killer is delighted to help out.
