Hanako-kun's real identity is Amane Yugi, a young boy who died early due to an accident. Later on, the manga introduces his identical twin brother Tsukasa Yugi, who is also a ghost. Because of this reveal, the ISML website displays his true name, as well as some other character contests throughout the internet.
