The four tsundere wonders refers to a quartet of heroines voiced by Japanese actress Rie Kugimiya. In order of anime debut, they are:
- Shana (Shakugan no Shana)
- Nagi Sanzenin (Hayate the Combat Butler)
- Louise de la Valliere (The Familiar of Zero)
- Taiga Aisaka (Toradora!)
While other Rie-voiced characters such as Aria Kanzaki, Astarotte Ygvar, and Iori Minase have also been included as one of the "tsundere wonders", the aformentioned four girls are usually grouped together as the most popular of their kind, especially since they were one of the most prominent characters in the original Saimoe tournament organized by Japanese textboard 2channel.
Their common characteristics include the following:
- tsundere love interest - a type of personality where the heroine acts "harsh" (tsuntsun) to the protagonist, before softening up her attitude to him as they grow closer (deredere)
- Grade A Zettai Ryouiki - a term referring to a combination of short skirts and thigh-high stockings. The "zettai ryouiki" (absolute territory) is the exposed thigh skin between the stockings and the skirt.
- Long hair
- Delicious Flat Chest (DFC)
- Powerful status - is either rich (Nagi, Taiga), or possesses magical powers (Louise, Shana)
