YoRHa No. 2 Type B, better known simply as 2B, is the main female protagonist of the 2017 video game Nier:Automata.
2B has become one of the most popular videogame characters in recent history thanks to her physical design and the multitude of sexualized fan arts posted online. Because of this, she has consistently appeared as a top-seeded contestant in several video game waifu tournaments. She carved her own place in ISML history by winning its video game exhibition tournament in 2018.
The gynoid has also appeared in GameFAQ's Character Battle, making her debut in 2018 as a first seed in her own division. However, her seeding was seen as suspect by several analysts of Board 8. She was eliminated by Bowser in the division semi-finals.
Likewise, 2B secured the first seed in 4chan's Queen of /v/ tournament in 2020, ultimately finishing fourth after losing to Reimu in the semifinals and Amaterasu in the bronze medal match.
