Best Girl 6: Starting Salt in Another Contest was the sixth edition of r/anime's annual Best Girl Contest held in the website AnimeBracket.

Megumin secured the top seed for the second time, becoming the first contestant in the history of Best Girl to earn the first seed more than once. Despite avoiding a Holo match in the round of 16, she still lost in the same stage against Mayuri Shiina. Meanwhile, old contenders like Holo, Ryuuko Matoi, and Saber fell by the wayside as new faces entered this year's Final Four, which is widely regarded by r/anime users as the worst (in terms of tastes, anyway).

Mikasa Ackerman reached the final four for the first time in a textbook case of recency bias, what with Attack on Titan 's Season 2 being broadcasted in the middle of the contest rounds. Last year's runner-up Aqua also reached the semi-finals. The title match ultimately came down to Sword Art Online 's poster girl Asuna Yuuki, and "surprise" finalist Winry Rockbell from one of r/anime's most beloved shows Fullmetal Alchemist. Asuna ended up demolishing the mechanic in the second-most lopsided Best Girl final in history.

The "Best Girl Madness" prediction brackets were introduced this year, which was created and managed by u/????? through the use of Google Sheets. u/????? took home the most points after predicting ??.??% of the correct outcomes in the entire contest.
