4chan is an imageboard website where users create threads and post anonymously. It hosts a wide variety of topics and interests, and is largely infamous for several boards under the "Miscellaneous" group.

In the context of this wiki, the website is currently host to notable character popularity tournaments of Mr. and Ms. /co/, King and Queen of /v/, and Mr. and Ms. /mlp/ (My Little Pony). However, a long time ago, the /a/nime and manga board used to hold SaiMoe threads dedicated to the coverage of 2channel's Anime Saimoe Tournament. /a/ is also the birthplace of the slang term GAR, which led to the board hosting their own SaiGAR tournament -- the male counterpart to saimoe -- but it was unfortunately discontinued after 2 years and is largely forgotten.

Even though there are talks of a possible "Mr. and Ms. /a/" --- or more appropriately "S/a/igar and S/a/imoe" --- since the board used to have threads dedicated to the 2channel saimoe tournament, such a contest is highly unlikely unless someone acts on it and enough /a/nons show interest. And there's also the fear of a possible Rei vs Asuka final, which may bring about the end of the board as we know it.
